Lubricant 101
The stuff your school definitely didn't teach you
Personal lubricants reduce friction and enhance comfort during intimate activities. Simple as that.
They're especially helpful if you experience natural dryness - which, by the way, is completely normal and can happen due to hormonal changes, medications, stress, dehydration, or just because bodies are weird sometimes. (Seriously, bodies are very weird. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.)
The Three Types You'll Encounter
Water-Based
The one we make. And the one you should probably use.
- ✓ Safe with ALL condoms
- ✓ Safe with ALL toys
- ✓ Easy to clean up
- ✓ Won't stain sheets
- • May need reapplication
Silicone-Based
The marathon runner of lubricants.
- ✓ Very long-lasting
- ✓ Waterproof (hello, shower)
- ✓ Safe with latex condoms
- ✗ Can damage silicone toys
- • Harder to wash off
Oil-Based
Proceed with caution, friend.
- ✓ Very moisturising
- ✓ Long-lasting
- ✗ DESTROYS latex condoms
- ✗ Can cause infections
- • Stains everything
TL;DR: Water-based is the safe choice for pretty much everything. It's why we make it. We're not here to complicate your life more than it already is.
